YOUR NEWBORN SESSION
My newborn photography sessions are entirely baby-led. I make sure that there is no pressure on you or on your baby and allow enough time for feeding or settling your little one. Our aim is to make it a completely relaxed environment.
This is why newborn sessions usually take longer than other portrait sessions. Older siblings and parents are welcome to come along too, so we can create some lovely portraits together with your newest family member.
PRICING OF NEWBORN SESSIONS
Sessions fill up fast. To secure your booking we require a £65 session fee. Please note, that this fee does not include any images and only your session time is included.
After your session, we’ll invite you back to a viewing appointment. I’ll guide you through a slideshow of your images and you can choose from one of the available collections.

WHERE IS THE SESSION HELD?
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Your newborn session will take place in our beautiful studio in Towthorpe, York.
The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are under two weeks old. After two weeks babies can be a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up. You can contact the studio at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date. We’ll make a provisional booking and when you arrive home from hospital with your brand new baby, simply get in touch to arrange a suitable day for your session.
WHEN WILL I SEE THE IMAGES?
About 1-2 weeks after your session, we will invite you back for your viewing appointment where you will be able yo pick your favourite images and packages that suit you the most.
You can order additional products, like albums, wall art and print packs during this session. Payment can be made by credit card, debit card, or cash during your view and order appointment.
HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?
Newborn sessions can take 3-4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding and comforting.
